I’ve been teaching Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) at BHS for 18 years. During this time, FACS has undergone many changes in the State Curriculum. Presently, we offer the Nutrition & Food Science Pathway at BHS which includes an indepth study of Foods and Nutrition needs that promote wellness across a lifespan. We also offer Intro to Interior Design as an elective course. Associated with FACS is our Career-Technology Student Organization (CTSO) --
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). FCCLA provides opportunities for students to build relationships, have fun applying FACS related skills in a variety of projects, and build leadership skills by planning and carrying out local, state, and national projects which provide positive impact on our community. If you want to apply your Foods, Nutrition, Design or Community Leadership skills, FCCLA is the place for YOU !
FCCLA members may also participate in a variety of FCCLA competitive events.
